How it works

One project. A clear next step.

PlotX guides figure creation through six steps. You can review the input and refine the result before taking it into a report.

  1. Upload & setup

Start with a CSV or XLSX file. For Excel, choose the worksheet you want to use. Review the import preview before continuing.

What you leave with: An imported dataset for the project.

  2. Project details

Give the project a name and add your research title or question. Record your experimental design context and what you want the figures to show. A research synopsis is optional.

What you leave with: A clear description of the work and its intended figures.

  3. Quick analysis

Review the data structure, column types and missing values. Confirm whether rows are individual observations or already summarized means. Map group, sample-unit and time roles where appropriate.

What you leave with: Confirmed variable roles and observation structure.

  4. Select parameters

Choose the numeric measurements you want to visualize. Start with one measurement so you can review the first result before making a larger batch.

What you leave with: The response variables to include in the figures.

  5. Choose plot types

Choose how each measurement should be shown. A distribution, a group comparison and a relationship between measurements require different figure choices.

What you leave with: A plot configuration matched to the question.

  6. Generate & refine

Generate the figures in R. Review them, open Edit Figure to make changes and save the result. Select successful saved figures to export as images or a PDF report.

What you leave with: Saved figures and downloadable outputs.
